Have you noticed how insanely cringe-worthy commercials have become?
This is an epidemic.
Many times during the last few years I've sat back and watched TV as the commercials come on, and every time I'm amazed at what I'm seeing. Take the Uber Eats ads for example:

The entire crux of the commercial is that the customers are confused by Uber Eats and think it means they need to eat the inedible items from their order as well.
*fart*.
Why would Trevor Noah order deodorant and then suddenly feel compelled to eat it just because it showed up in an 'Uber Eats' bag? And I know what you're thinking,
"You're an idiot, that's the joke."
But that's exactly my point: that's a bad joke. It's just lazy. Another catastrophe in advertising happens in a series of Chick-fil-a commercials where testimonials are told by customers and employees of experiences they've had with Chick-fil-a.
I'm of the opinion that Chick-fil-a has better food than Michelin-level restaurants, but this is unacceptable.

This particular commercial is about a woman who wanted to gift a cop with a cookie for doing his job. All well and good. He leaves before she can give it to him, and so the employee runs out into the parking lot to hand it to him.
First of all, this man deserves a lot more than a cookie. Secondly, is this television-worthy? They claim these aren't actors, but how did this made-up scenario become scripted and deemed worthy of having tens of thousands of dollars spent to produce it?
I'm gonna throw up.
You're probably now as scared as I am about this crisis and are wondering how this can be fixed. Thankfully I have a solution; just let me write the commercials next time. I clearly know what I'm talking about.
